Chapter 17- 18

2) If Anthony wins his trial more laws for slaves would be passed.
3)Burns has a chance that he might gain his freedom.

2) was their more people who was on the side of Anthony burns that people who protest against it?

1)”it grew hot and uncomfortable, and at last he fell into an exhaust sleep.” (Hamilton 131)- this is an example of personification because it trying to put growing as a characteristic of hot of how it grows.
2) “if you rule against him, a free man will be a slave for ever.” (148)- this is an example of situational irony because we know that a free slave would still be treated unfairly and still like slaves.


1) through this chapter more danger keeps happening while Anthony is in prison . Each time when Anthony was put on trail he kept believing his self and having hope that he can overcome what ever he’s in.



Chapter 19- 20

1)” An animal can be sniveling a menace or brave like a man” ( Hamilton 154) this is an example of a simile because it’s describing two thing with using like.
2) “ Theodore Parker, minister of Tremont Temple, had his doubts that Burns would go free..." (Hamilton 152) this is an example of forshaddow because that person saying that Anthony Burns wouldn't be a free man of color and wouldn't be a slave.

1) Thought chapter 19-20 he won the trial, gained his freedom, but he was taken by the Armies . He then published a book about his life before he died sooner on when it was 1862.
